I’m Kurt Halverson, and Rockton is one of my favorite villages to work in — a historic settlement on the Rock River right up against the Wisconsin line, with a walkable old downtown along Main Street and homes that go back generations. My family has moved Rockton households since 2009, and there’s a quieter, small-town rhythm here that suits how we like to work: careful, unhurried, and by name.
The older homes near the river and the historic district come with the usual character — narrow interior stairs, add-on rooms, and driveways that weren’t built for a 26-foot truck. We know how to stage on those tight downtown blocks without boxing in a neighbor, and we pad the old woodwork the way you’d want a neighbor to. Newer builds out toward Prairie Hill move quicker, and we size the crew to fit.
