Are you a moving company?
Yes — Rockford Family Movers is a fully licensed and insured Machesney Park, IL moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with an Illinois Commerce Commission household-goods license and US DOT and MC authority.
What does a flat-rate local move actually cost around Rockford?

Do your crews still move in the dead of a Northern Illinois winter?

What makes you 'family-owned' instead of just another moving outfit?

Can you move us out of state, say to Chicago or Madison?
Yes. We hold US DOT and MC authority for interstate work, and Travis Bergren runs our long-haul lane — down the I-90 Jane Addams Tollway to Chicago and northwest to Madison, WI are two of our most common runs. The same crew that loads you here delivers at the other end.
Once we sign the flat rate, is there any way it climbs on move day?
No. We walk the whole job first, then hand you a binding flat total to sign at booking. Unless the inventory you listed actually changes, that booking-day figure is the entire bill — no meter running past it, and nothing new sprung on you at the curb.
How is my stuff protected if something gets damaged on the truck?
